Ingredients:
* 1/4 cup oil
* 1/4 Stick Butter
* 1/4 Cup chopped garlic (less if using fresh)
* 1 qt heavy cream
* 8 Cups Broccoli Florets (frozen)
* 10-12 pieces of chicken tenders (I used a pkg of grilled Perdue Short Cuts)
* 3 cups of artichoke hearts (I passed on this ingredient)
* Pinch of Salt & Pepper (I used Goya Adobo All Seasoning instead)
* Pinch of granulated garlic
* 3 Cups Parmesan
* 7 Cups of ziti cooked aldente
Directions:
- Start out using an 8qt sauce pan/pot
- Make sure your veggies are strained of excess water
- On low/medium heat, add your oil and butter and heat until the butter melts
- Add your garlic and saute until it (just starts) to turn light brown (about 2 min)
- Add your cream and heat until it just starts to slightly boil
- Add your broccoli florets and stir for about 2 min
- Add your chicken and keep stirring about 2 min ( I sprinkled Adobo on chicken to season)
- Add your Artichoke hearts, salt, pepper, granulated garlic and let simmer about 2 min.
- Next put in your ziti and stir into the pot followed by the Parmesan and shut off
- Continue stirring for a couple minutes so the cream and Parmesan do not stick or burn in the pot
This sounds so scrumptious! I am going to make this but I might pass on the artichoke hearts too I think, unless I could sneak them in without the grands discovering them lol. YUMMY heavy cream, broccoli, Parmesan, I'm drooling here.
ReplyDeleteHey Terri,
ReplyDeleteIt really is delicious! Hubby is not big on left overs so I'm happy to say that I get to eat it all myself -LOL! I get a few days out of it. Not the "lightest" meal but man is it good!
Ok, I will copy/past this and when I get to a printer I will print and cook. The family here loves broccoli and chicken. I'm always looking for something good. I will drop back in and let you know how it turned out.
ReplyDeleteThanks, jill from voiceboks
I was just talking to my cousins about how we were craving pasta. And Mmm, this does look delish! Definitely a must try! :)
ReplyDeleteThis looks really really good! I'm a big fan of cream sauce too, esp. cream sauce with garlic. The Goya Adobo All Seasoning looks fascinating, I've not used it before.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds wonderful!!! I may have to try this, and I do love artichokes so this is even more appealing to me! What a fun site, I'm now following!!

Hi Jinnia,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. I always order anything in a cream sauce -LOL! The news station that did this was a restaurant in the north end in Boston so I hope everyone likes it. Goya is awesome. We use it for all seasoning. you can generally find it in the international isle at the grocery store
