Do you have people in your life that know everything whether they’ve done it, experienced it or not? Don’t you love it how they’re the experts in everything? They may ask you for your opinions and advice and do the complete opposite and they’re the first ones to tell you what you should be doing and how you should be doing it.
These are the people that you just say “yup, oh really, uh-huh, oh ok” and then you move fast to get the hell away from them-that’s what I’ve learned to do anyway. For some people those “know it all’s” are family members as in the Hubs family.You may remember my post about divorcing his family.
It’s been a few years since I’ve seen Hub’s family. It’s been a wonderful and peaceful few years in fact but they can still annoy the shit out of me. Take Christmas for instance, Hubs asked me what should his family buy Buggy for Christmas. There is absolutely nothing she really needed and with Christmas and her birthday in the same week I wanted to make sure she got things she would grow into so I told him she would need pajamas, size 5T. She is already wearing 4T and some of them are starting to fit a bit snug.
Well when Hubs family looked at the 5T pajamas they decided that they looked too big and bought her 4T instead. Um, I’m sorry, am I not her mother? Do I not know what MY daughter needs? Seriously WTF! The Hubs called me from the old bags house-aka his parents house on Christmas day asking if 4T is ok. Again WTF! I’ve told him a few times to tell them 5T!! Apparently “The Know It All’s” know what my child needs more than I do. Honestly, I just want to slap the stupid out of them!
Maybe I should be grateful that Hubs family are experts at everything. I mean, just imagine what would happen to my poor Buggy with such a clueless Mami.
