Remember the days when you dreamt of being a mom? You had an amazing wedding, married life is awesome and now you’re dreaming of kids.
And then you have your first blessing, you decide to be a stay at home mom because your journey to become a mom wasn’t easy and you want to savor every last moment – no matter how hard it is.
We schedule play dates, we try and connect with other moms but it’s not always easy. Finding your mom tribe can be very difficult at times and the life of a stay at home mom can be lonely. You’re lucky you can find time to shower, you think you want to exercise but mentally you’re going through the to do list in your head and wonder which one you should tackle first and in the end nothing gets done. You’re home all day with the baby, your only communication partner is your baby, you search for activities out of the house because you crave adult interaction. When you do finally meet others you feel judged and very much an outsider because the click has formed.
We all know that being a stay at home parent isn’t easy. It can be lonely, frustrating and exhausting. Those on the other side think we are lucky to be able to do that but they really don’t know what it’s like.
Some people actually think that nothing will change when they have kids but change is going to happen and if you embrace it, you might just discover new things about yourself and when you have a team who supports you, together you can fly higher than you ever thought possible.
Can you relate to this?
